AFRICA-SENSED MUSIC EDUCATION AND CREATIVITY: EXAMINING CHILDREN’S MUSICAL CREATIVITY IN PLAY AND GAME IN NIGERIAN TRADITIONAL SETTING

Abstract


Creative thinking is a gift of God in human persons, most times this gift starts at the early stage of life. Most children exhibit this in their extraordinary day to day activities, showing this talent in arts such as music, drawing, sculpture, dance, drama, in languages and technical works. They do this act unintentionally, playing the role of adults in their plays, making original songs and creating more from the existing ones by adding one thing or the other into their game and play, producing an intelligible art.
