Author Guidelines

Guidelines to Contributors

1. Language

The language of the manuscript must be English (British standards). Non-English words and expressions should be in italics and should be translated into English.

2. Originality

Articles must be original and must not have been submitted for consideration and publication elsewhere.

3. Length of paper

The length of the paper should not exceed 6000 words including references and appendices (if any). Articles should be typed in 1.5 line spacing (footnotes and references should appear in single line spacing) on one side of A4 paper only with wide margins. Authors

are urged to write as concisely as possible, but not at the expense of clarity.

4. Title Page

The title page should include: (i) The name(s) of the author(s), (ii) A concise and informative title, (iii) The affiliation(s) and address (es) of the author(s), (iv) The e-mail address, and telephone numbers of the corresponding author.

5. Abstract

Please provide an abstract of 150 to 200 words which must include the objectives of the study, methodology, findings/results, method of data collection and summary of recommendations. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

6. Keywords

Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

7. Subdivision of the article

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1, 2. (then 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2), 1.2, etc). The abstract is not included in section numbering.

8. References and Documentation

i. Author(s) should adhere strictly to Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition, Quick Reference accessible at https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-1.html.

ii. Eliminate from the body of your text unnecessary bibliographical data or parenthetical references to the footnote. For the avoidance of doubt, all references, citations and comments

should be consigned to the footnotes (not endnotes).

iii. Online sources should indicate the site and date of visit.

iv. Use of inclusive language is highly recommended.

v. Revised Standard Version (Catholic Edition) is recommended for all biblical citations; otherwise the version should be indicated.

vi. Quotations in Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic or any Ancient Near Eastern language should be transliterated and translated accordingly.

vii. All submissions will undergo double blind peer review and plagiarism check.

9. Submission of Manuscripts

Interested contributors are to submit their manuscripts/papers in MS Word Perfect to the Editor-in-Chief at [email protected] and copy to [email protected].

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
