Abstract

Alternative Dispute Resolution as a settlement of dispute options has come to stay in Nigeria. Litigation has been the traditional method of resolving disputes in Nigerian. As a result of many disadvantages associated with litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution has gained grounds as alternative to the conventional court system of settlement of disputes. In this article, we are going to look at the legal and historical development of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Nigeria.
