Abstract


The research paper aims to investigate the impact of inter-group relation in post-independence Nigeria, focusing on the comparison between military and civilian administrations in their efforts towards nation-building. Inter-group relations in Nigeria since independence have been marked by suspicion and conflict, which has hindered national integration and development. This research utilized us of secondary sources of information to analyze different approaches taken by military and civilian administrations in managing inter-group relations and their impact on nation-building. Additionally, the study evaluates the effectiveness of these approaches in promoting national integration and unity. Therefore, the study provides insights into the effectiveness of military and civilian administrations in managing inter-group relations and their impact on nation-building in Nigeria.
