Primary Health Care, according toNational Health Policy remains the bedrock ofNigerian health system. By implication, it is thefoundation on which the overall health programswere built. According to WHO, Primaryhealthcare is essential healthcare based onpractical, scientifically sound, and sociallyacceptable methods and technology madeuniversally accessible to individuals and familiesin the community, through their full participationand at a cost that the community and country canafford to maintain at every stage of developmentin the spirit of self-reliance and self-determination.
