Abstract


In Nigeria, French language is a subject taught only in schools.  Majority of Nigerians French learners, yorùbá learners inclusive  come across the language in secondary school from J.S.S1. The  main focus of this paper is to take a look in to problem of negation in French as it affects the linguistic competency of yorùbá learners of French in French classes in Nigeria
