Teamwork in Islam: A model for the Health Professions

Abstract

The first Muslim team on earth is that ofAdam and Hauwau (Eve). Such teampopulated the earth giving rise to severalcommunities and teams. Examples ofhistorical teams noted in the glorious Quranwere that of Moses and Aaron, the story ofDhul Qarnayn, the father-son relationship ofIbrahim and Ismail which ended up buildingthe Ka`bah. The achievements of thesehistorical teams emphasized the uniquenessof all believers to honor and fulfill the dutyof ‘holding on to the rope of Allahtogether.
