APPRAISAL OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP IN HEALTH CARE DELIVERY IN FEDERAL INSTITUTIONS IN ENUGU STATE

Abstract

This study appraised the effectiveness o f Public-Private Partnership (PPP) inhealth care delivery in Federal Institutions in Enugu State. Particularly, thestudy investigated the extent o f awareness o f Formal Sector Social HealthInsurance Programmes (FSSHIP) among federal workers in Federalinstitutions in Enugu State, extent o f enrollees' satisfaction with the FSSHIP inFederal institutions in Enugu State, and the factor (s) responsible fo r enrollees'utilization pattern o f health care services under FSSHIP in Federal institutionsin Enugu State, Nigeria. The study captured a total sample o f 357 Federalworkers in the State while descriptive survey research design was adopted.Method o f data collection was direct-served questionnaire while analyticaltechniques employed were descriptive statistics (percentages/proportions,mean, standard deviation and rank statistics), student's t-test and exploratoryPrincipal Component Analysis (EPCA).
