Abstract


Lie detection is an assessment of a verbal statement with the goal to reveal a possible intention of deceit. Liedetection may refer to a cognitive process of detecting deception by evaluating message content as well as nonverbalcues. The problem of this work is that witnesses and suspects tell leis to deceive the court and lawenforcement agents. The findings of this work is that there are ways and means by which lying can be detected.Doctrinal method was used and the researcher advocates for more research and clinical training in lie detectionskills and techniques.
